What are Lila Retreats?

There will be time for mom to rejuvenate and relax with other mothers, time for mom to enjoy some meditative alone time, as well as time for moms and children to play, eat, and enjoy the outdoors together. We will have women-only yoga classes, multi-age kids yoga classes, and integrated playful yoga and music time. We will group families into “tribes” at the beginning of the workshop to support each other in having some free time to meditate, hike, enjoy the springs, or a massage. The retreat is organized in a cooperative structure that involves all participants, but allows for unique opportunities for solace, as well.

Lila Morsels 2011

Breitenbush’s mission is “to provide a safe and potent environment where people can renew and evolve in ways they never imagined.” At Lila I definitely experienced that renewal and evolution surrounded by the forest, river and springs but most especially within the warm Lila circle of Moms, Dads, and Kids. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the kiddo tribe, connecting with and getting to know each one and then chatting with parents, seeing the child more fully through their eyes. The love, and intention given to the children was palpable and I was thrilled to be able to participate and share resources, ideas and tools to the further fostering of those bonds. I loved combining with Stephanie’s soul-stirring yoga, Molly’s lively & playful music , and Tish’s whole-body-mind nutrition support to create a fabulous, nurturing, heart-full retreat. I’m already looking forward to next year’s gathering!

Continue to trust your own deep knowing & allow space for your child to do the same!

Blessings,
Karen
